The Crest team set off for an epic adventure - Pavestone Rally 2023!

Ghent to Monte Carlo 6th-11th September 2023

After months of preparation, Paul Lawson and Hubert van Huet are finally set to take on this amazing European challenge. Last-minute finishing touches to the Crest No. 23 White Ford Fiesta Rally Car have been undertaken, with sponsorship stickers added, oil and fluid checks plus a final inspection.

Most of the teams are taking the ferry crossing from Dover to Calais on Wednesday 6th August and are dressing up in “Where’s Wally” fancy dress outfits which will be a great spectacle as they make their way to the starting line in Ghent, Belgium.

This epic adventure promises to offer a fantastic challenge across the 5 days with the rally starting on 6th September 2023, in Ghent (Belgium), with stopovers in Strasbourg (France), Innsbruck (Austria), Milan (Italy), via a fantastic mountain pass and onto the finishing line in Monte Carlo (Monaco) on the 10th September. A short hop on to Nice (France) to the Gala Dinner, departing for home on the 11th September.

The rally is one of the industry’s biggest charities raising bi-annual events and the 2023 beneficiaries include the British Heart Foundation, Variety Children’s Charity, CRASH and Rainy Day Trust.

An online donation page was set up and the Crest team set a target to raise £10,000.00 and just before they set off on their epic adventure the target was achieved. The team are hopeful they receive further donations as the rally gets underway.
